They are lovely blooms to have in the garden, Peter. They grew well in Australia, but I doubt they would grow here.
It'll get washed off, soon enough! It is so pretty!

In my town, you plant dahlia bulbs on 10 October and they will be in full flower by Christmas. I guess there is not enough summer time available in Canada, so you plant them flowering.
