Around The World - Sunrays - Bow Glacier, Bow Lake

Bow Glacier is an outflow glacier from the Wapta Icefield, which rests along the Continental divide, and runoff from the glacier supplies water to Bow Lake and the Bow River. The glacier is credited for creating the Bow Valley before retreating at the end of the last glacial maximum.

Those glaciers sure are powerful, Peter, aren't they! Amazing what they can do.
....peter:): This glacier surely is amazing Ginnie....it feeds Bow Lake which is to top of the Bow River... that ran along the train that i posted yesterday.....The Bow River has a total length of 587 km (365 mi) and a drainage area of 26,200 km.....past Calgary where it meets the Saskatchewan River....petersmile
